Built for Illinois weather.

Chicago’s weather is famously unpredictable, shaped by its location along Lake Michigan and the Midwest’s continental climate. The city experiences all four seasons distinctly, from snowy winters to hot, humid summers. Winters are cold, with frequent polar air outbreaks and temperatures that regularly dip below freezing, while summers bring heat, humidity, and plenty of sunshine — along with the occasional afternoon thunderstorm. January is the coldest month, with daytime temperatures hovering near freezing, while July marks the warmest point of the year, with average highs reaching around 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
Spring in Chicago runs from mid-March through May and is one of the most unpredictable stretches of the year — early snowfalls can still occur in March and April, while warmer days arrive gradually alongside the season’s first thunderstorms. Summer months, especially July and August, bring significant humidity due to the city’s proximity to Lake Michigan, while fall offers some of the most comfortable weather of the year before temperatures drop sharply in November. Chicago winters can bring intense lake-effect snow events, with accumulations of a foot or more not uncommon in a single storm. For homeowners, this kind of weather cycle — freeze-thaw winters, heavy spring rains, and severe summer storms — puts real stress on roofs and exteriors year after year.

FAQ

How fast can you get to my Chicago home?

Within 24 to 48 hours of your call. We work locally in the Chicago area, so we’re not driving in from another city or routing your job through a call center hours away. Being based right here means we can usually get a team to your property within a day or two, and faster when there’s an active leak or fresh storm damage that needs urgent attention.

If a storm has just rolled through, or an ice dam is forcing water under your shingles, call us right away. We can prioritize emergency assessments and, when needed, get a temporary cover in place to protect your home before the full repair.

Do you serve all of Cook County?

We cover all of Cook County, plus the surrounding communities. Wherever you are in and around Chicago, from the city neighborhoods to the suburbs, we can get out to assess your roof and talk through your options.

If you’re not sure whether you fall inside our service area, just give us a call. If we can’t help directly, we’ll point you toward someone who can.

Do you charge for an assessment?

No. Assessments are completely free and no-obligation. We’ll inspect everything inside and out, document its condition with photos, and walk you through exactly what we find, whether that points to a simple repair, a full replacement, or just some maintenance to extend the life of your current roof.

There’s no pressure to move forward and no catch. The goal is to give you a clear, honest picture of where your roof stands so you can make a confident decision, whether you hire us, get a second opinion, or decide to wait.

How does Chicago weather affect my roof?

Chicago is hard on roofs. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles work water into small cracks and widen them, heavy snow and ice can lead to ice dams that push water up under your shingles, and high winds off the lake along with summer hail loosen and tear shingles over time. A lot of that damage isn’t visible from the ground, which is why it often goes unnoticed until a leak shows up inside.

That’s why we document everything during a free assessment, with photos and a thorough inspection, then give you a straight recommendation. If a repair is all you need, we’ll tell you. If it’s time for a replacement, you’ll see why for yourself.
