Get A New Roof For Your Home
7 Signs It Is Time to Replace Your Roof
Not sure if your roof needs replacing? Here are seven telltale signs that indicate it might be time for a new one:
1) Age of the Roof
Most roofs are designed to last 20-25 years. If yours is approaching this age or older, it may be time to consider a replacement, even if it appears to be in decent condition.
2) Curling or Buckling Shingles
Take a look at the slopes of your roof. If the shingles are curling or buckling, it’s a clear indication that they have reached the end of their lifespan.
3) Missing Shingles
Missing shingles leave your roof vulnerable to water damage. If you notice patches where shingles are absent, it’s essential to address the issue promptly.
4) Granules in the Gutters
Check your gutters for granules. Roofs tend to lose more granules toward the end of their life cycle, which can lead to compromised protection.
5) Daylight Through Roof Boards
If you can see daylight through your roof boards from the attic, it’s a strong sign that your roof needs immediate attention.
6) Sagging Roof Deck
A sagging roof deck is a serious issue that often indicates structural damage. If your roof appears to be drooping, it’s crucial to seek professional evaluation.
7) Water Damage or Leaks
Persistent leaks or signs of water damage on your ceiling or walls suggest that your roof may no longer be watertight.
Recognizing these signs early can prevent further damage and costly repairs. If you notice any of these issues, it’s time to contact Veterans Contracting for a comprehensive roof inspection and replacement consultation.

Should I repair or replace my roof?
There are several factors to consider that can help you choose between a repair and a full replacement. We’ll look at the extent of damage, roof material condition, and your roof’s age. If the damage is minor, repairing your roof could be the way to go. However, for severe damage like major hail, wind, or water damage, or if your roof is past its lifespan, it might be time for a full replacement.” Your last sentence is great!
